Nohum Shtif penname Baal Dimion (Yiddish: נחום שטיף; 1879, Kovno – 1933, Kiev), Jewish linguist, publisher, translator and philologist of the Yiddish language.
In August 1925 he established the Jewish research institute YIVO.
